Welcome to my studio!

Hi, I’m Jessica, a Petaluma-based photographer specializing in portraits both in and outside of my natural light studio. I work with families, creatives, and brands across Sonoma County and the greater Bay Area. I’m also a mother, an artist, and someone who believes the most meaningful moments are often the ones we almost miss — the subtle, quiet gestures that tell the truth of who we are.

I’ve been photographing people, places, and stories for over a decade. From wineries and interiors to family portraits and personal branding, I’ve always been drawn to beauty, not just the curated kind, but the kind that lives in connection, movement, and presence.

My style is rooted in natural light, clean composition, and emotional honesty. I’m not interested in perfection. I’m interested in capturing how it felt.

As a Bay Area family photographer, my approach is gentle and guided, never stiff or performative. I don’t believe in forced smiles or poses that don’t feel like you. Instead, I create space for you to settle in, breathe, and simply be. That’s where the magic lives — in the in-between moments that unfold when you feel seen and safe.

This work is personal to me. My family has experienced deep loss, and in the aftermath, photographs became everything. They were our memory keepers. Our proof. Our way back. That’s why I photograph the way I do, with reverence, with care, and with the awareness that these images may someday become heirlooms.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me walking my dog Winnie through the neighborhoods of Petaluma, knitting sweaters by hand, or showing up for my daughter’s school community. Life moves fast. I try to slow it down wherever I can.

Clients often leave my sessions saying, “That was so easy,” and later, “These photos feel like us.” That’s the highest compliment I can receive.

If you’re looking for timeless, artful imagery from a Sonoma County family photographer who sees the beauty in your everyday life, I’d be honored to photograph your story.
